The Sonnet of Hector and Edward

by

Edward Zifran of Gendy

Edward the Knight and Hector the Laurel,
When in their cups, they did like to quarell
Of-the proper way for to write a poem
To-seduce a Lady, and take her home.

Sir Edward Shouted "It's "A, A, B, B!"
Master Hector growled "Lines must be in three!"
"It must have glory and war" Edward cried
"Dead Guys! "graaaaet" pick up line", Hector replied.

As the night progressed around the campfire
Their voices just grew higher and higher.
Heard from within this small diameter
"Screw you AND Iambic Pentameter!"

But both these old Peers, well they lost their chance.
The Ladies went elsewhere to find some romance.
